Currents Events:

Here is the current event rubric and organizer if your child needs an extra copy.

- The students will have a current event assignment once a month. Total points: 20 points

-First the student is to look up an appropriate article (about sports, weather, politics, animals, school, church, etc) either in the newspaper, magazine, church bulletin, weekly reader, or on line.

-Next the student will read the one article. One article is due each month. The articles should be somewhat current, for example, in the last year. -After that the student will complete the current event organizer in pen or pencil and does not have to write complete sentences for the Venn Diagram. There is not much room to write full sentences. The only part that should have a complete sentence is the bottom, "students reaction to issue".

- Lastly the student is to attach the article or glue it on the back. They are to turn it in by the due date, which this one is October 6. Then they will give a short presentation on their article.
