Coaching Requirements

Below are the Coaching Requirements as set forth by the Diocese of Pittsburgh -Athletics Department. All requirements must be met and all forms must be completed and approved before you are allowed to coach children at St. James School. All of these forms must be returned to Mrs. Riley directly as she maintains a list of all approved coaches.

1. Complete the Coach Application Form
2. Act 34 Clearance: Request for Criminal Record Check.

3. Act 151-PA Child Abuse History Clearance

4. Attend Protecting God's Children In-Service Program. For more information regarding this program click here to log onto site, or contact the school office at 412-741-5540.
5. Read the Pastoral Code of Conduct Booklet and sign-off on the Pledge at the end of the booklet. This is available in the school office.
6. View the Diocese Coach's Video. This is available at the school office.
7. Read and sign the Coach's Annual Pledge.
