Another Exciting Win for the Girls JV Basketball Team

It might be cold outside but the Girls JV basketball team got hot when it mattered to beat St. Killians in the last game played before the snowstorms rolled in. After falling behind 8-4 at the half, the Cougars cut the deficit to 2 points going into the final period of play. In the fourth quarter sixth graders Lauren Padalino and Gabrielle Zernich took over the game combining for 10 points and leading the Cougars to a 20-12 victory. Lauren Padalino ended the game with 14 points while Gabrielle Zernich had 4 and Emma Cullo scored 2.

Athletic Association Raffle

Congratulations to the Cuccaro family who won the 4 Pittsburgh Penguin Hockey tickets during the recent raffle.  We’re sure Mia (grade 4) and Ella (grade 2) enjoyed themselves at the game!

Operation Christ – Youth Group News

Please join your friends on Saturday, March 13th, for our annual Food Pantry Drive Kick-Off.  We will share a “simple meal” of soup and bread and discuss how to help those in need through our St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Together we will create signs and place collection bins around our church and school.  This is not only a great way to serve the community, but also a way to make your Lent more meaningful.

We look forward to seeing you from 6-8:00pm in the Gathering Space!

Collection dates:  March 13th-28th

The St. James Food Pantry would especially appreciate the following items:
